FORT WAYNE - The Fort Wayne Police Department was able to get a 28-year-old man to surrender peacefully Tuesday after a standoff that lasted more than five hours.
According to a our news partners at WANE-TV, police were called just after 2:30 a.m. Tuesday to a domestic situation at the home on Merivale Street.
When police arrived they learned the male suspect, who has a military background, was inside the house with several weapons and a child. The child was released to police custody....
