Man in critical condition after head on collision

FORT WAYNE — A 73-year-old man is in critical condition after a head on collision just before 1 p.m. Monday in the 7500 block of W. Jefferson Boulevard.

The Fort Wayne Police Department said the man, driving a 1999 Mercury Villager, was driving east along W. Jefferson Boulevard when it collided with a 2011 Kia Soul forcing the Kia Soul into the median. Witnesses told police the Mercury Villager continued east bound and hit a 1994 Chevy Astro van, forcing that vehicle into a ditch where it rolled over onto its top. Officers learned the Mercury Villager continued east, crossed the median of W. Jefferson Boulevard, and collided head on with the Pontiac Grand Am that was traveling west bound before coming to a rest in the west bound lanes of the 7500 block of W. Jefferson Boulevard.....
