When former Berne area resident Delno Abnet watched the sun rise over the old Maple Grove Church, it never crossed his mind that some day he would witness the same phenomena from all parts of the globe.
Abnet, son of the late Don and Ruth Abnet, and his wife, Becky, daughter of Ralph and Berteen Minnich, just returned from several months of living in India. In July, Abnet plans to return to the eastern country and Becky will more than likely join him in August.
As a project manager for Dayton Phoenix Group, which manufactures parts for locomotives, Abnet is often sent to different parts of the world to oversee certain projects. Quite often, Becky is able to spend at least part of the time with him.
